Anyone else have an NEC C500 monitor with this problem?
My monitor just died and I have to get a new one. The old one is a Sony Trinitron, CPD-220VS, 17 inch screen (16" viewable). I have no idea exactly what all the specs mean, but the maximum resolution is 1280 x 1024, and the "VESA standards" are: 640x480 at 85 Hz; 800 x 600 at 85 Hz; 1024 x 768 at 85 Hz;

Creative Blaster Annihlator GeForce Pro 256 Monitor Issue
So far we haven't been able to resolve this issue, but it sure looks like a driver issue, instead of a monitor issue... I've tried two of them and both had the same problem. Another question about my 8600 - and it may be a monitor issue, not sure. Over the past few weeks I've noticed when I boot up, display is more "redish" in tone - after about I first assumed this is a monitor issue...but I began wondering if it's possible it could be a video problem from within the 8600 itself?

In Display Settings, I arrange Monitor 1 above Monitor 2. The settings take effect w/o any problems. However, if I lock the computer and then unlock it the settings go Do you actually have your 2nd monitor physically over your main monitor. -- Mike Hall MS MVP Windows Shell/User http://msmvps.com/blogs/mikehall/

Powerpoint Primary Monitor Issue
The main problem as I see it is that your monitor is shutting down while being used. You said it is going into standby mode while playing. Did you ever have this problem prior to DX9.0b? While on the monitor issue, does it have a hardware power management setting? You would need to be very careful to not over run

Spend 5 minutes tweaking the screen using the buttons supplied with your monitor. If by "tilted" the OP means that his raster is rotated slightly, then this problem will not [usually] be corrected by simple tweaking. What is the exact model of the monitor? Good luck! The PCB was just sent back, however the monitor is fuzzy now. The game works fine and electron forge did a good job so this is a different issue. I was wondering is this a knob to rotate under themonitor or does it sound like something different. It is only a little blurry but is still playable.

Possibly OT... Bizarre 2-monitor issue.
Every time you switched on both monitors, Powerpoint immediately chose the correct monitor as the "primary" monitor, and displayed the slide show on it. After a few reboots, it's suddenly decided that the other video, call it video #2, is the "primary" monitor. Now when started up, it always chooses the WRONG one

Hi - I have a somewhat odd problem - there was a spot of dust or dirt on my monitor, so I wiped it away with my sleeve.
