setFocus in the OnShow event will cause a popup form to be displayed on the default monitor in a multi-monitor setup (XP sp2) regardless of how the DefaultMonitor property is set. But setting form.activeControl = myComp works fine. That seems rather odd. Different timings. The Setfocus is immediately executed and

Any suggestions appreciated PS The same problem occurred when I connected the Sony CPD-1430 14" monitor to the High Densisty monitor port on the computer rather than the AV card. Currently the only thing that seems to work is the 14" monitor connected to the AV card on the machine.

Quicken 2004 Dual Monitor Issue (Del & John)
I appreciate that the monitor is changing res, but half a minute to do so? Under Win98 (and in XP when I change the resolution manually) it does so in seconds. Got the latest (XP) driver for the graphics card... Besides, I don't think the problem is a graphic card/monitor issue, and when I boot up normally I get

Monitor Issue
I don't think a cap kit will fix it, but since the monitor will be out, it won't hurt to do one. Anytime I pull a monitor and know it will be disassembled, I always have a cap kit handy. Even if it doesn't need it, it's worth the $5 to cap kit while it's out instead of putting it together and pulling it out again

Weird monitor issue...
This Ms. Pacman coctail table has 2 issues. I am new at this video game repair so I would appreciate as much direction as anyone can offer. 1) The game would not boot up( no monitor video, no credits, no audio ) and both 7v fuses were blown. Replaced the fuses and then heard speaker hum, checked the P/S voltages

A problem with Linux browsers
It seems more like a power issue than a monitor issue. (But, of course, I'm no expert). I'm taking the advice of many here and putting my concerns on the record at Other than this issue, I sure love this monitor :) I'll keep everyone posted. My
refresh rate is set at 85Hz - the optimal performance setting for my monitor. I don't think it's a monitor issue for the following reasons: 1) It's a brand new monitor which I bought in the hopes that maybe it WAS a problem with my old monitor, but no such luck....new monitor, old monitor - same problem.

Although this does not create a fast monitor response, it sure solved a bunch of video issues. You might want to try re-installing the specific ATI drivers for your card. By the way, like your name! Stephen D Green North Saanich, British Columbia Canada.

OT: monitor problem, help!
So once WinXP loads up, I change resolutions from 1024 to 8x6, same problem... I reinstalled my video card drivers, and the problem is still there. Could this be a monitor issue? Downgrading to Windows XP
The monitor is a Plug & Play GVC 990. I have tried searching for a new driver for this but without any success. I have tried changing it to a generic VGA monitor, again without success.
